Clusters in Kirklees 🌍
Kirklees schools are organised into 17 local clusters. These clusters strengthen early identification, improve collaboration and allow schools to access shared expertise and resources. By working together, schools can spot emerging needs sooner and provide support more quickly.
Lowerhouses CE Primary School is part of Cluster 16, which brings together nearby schools to support SEND provision across our community.

Our school’s SENDCO is the Cluster Lead for Cluster 16.
This leadership role includes:
- Coordinating cluster meetings and shared planning
- Supporting SENDCOs across all Cluster 16 schools
- Helping to direct shared resources and specialist support
- Strengthening partnerships with external agencies
- Ensuring high‑quality, inclusive provision across the cluster
